A Look Back at Dismal Day 2022!

The 8th annual Dismal Day & 5k Fun Run/Walk returned in 2022, presented by the Dismal Swamp State Park & Friends of the Dismal Swamp State Park! It was a beautiful fall day at the Dismal Swamp State Park and Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, with close to #2,000 attendees.  We hope everyone had a great experience and will be back in 2023.

We kicked the festivities off with a 5k Fun Run/Walk along the DSC paved trail, with the first #100 participants receiving a state park souvenir.  Dismal Day activities began at 10am with axe throwing, wagon rides, craft vendors, children’s activities & crafts, bounce house, live reptiles, educational exhibits & food vendors.
