The Camden County Tourism Develop Authority is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 “Capture Camden, NC”, Photo Contest, which began on January 7th and closed April 7th, 2025. We received 152 images from 22 entrants, throughout Camden, Pasquotank, Gates and Martin counties and spanning across three categories: Scenic Scapes, Wildlife & Wildcard. In addition to the Adult Division, this year’s contest also featured a Youth Division, for any youth in grades 6-12.  Camden TDA appreciates the generosity and community support for this contest from Towne Bank, Friends of the Camden Library and Camden County 4-H.

Each category features a Blue Ribbon-1st place, Red Ribbon-2nd place, and Yellow Ribbon-3rd place – determined by photo contest judges scores. The Blue-Ribbon winners in each category will be printed, matted, framed and displayed in Camden County public spaces. A County Manager’s, Commissioners and People’s Choice Award were also awarded to one Blue Ribbon Winner in the Adult Division. A Superintendent’s, Board of Education and People’s Choice were awarded to one Blue Ribbon Winner in the Youth Division.

The People’s Choice Award in each division was voted on digitally through Facebook! The photo with the most likes and loves after a 48-hour period, was selected as the winner.  We appreciate everyone taking the time to browse the images & vote. Winners and their images will be showcased at a Photography Exhibition on June 2nd, 2025 in the lobby of the Camden Community Room from 5:30-6:30pm and at the Board of Commissioners Meeting at 7pm.

The Camden County TDA, Friends of the Camden Library and Camden County 4-H would like to thank all of the wonderful judges for volunteering their time and artistic eyes to this contest. Judges, are chosen on professional experience, to ensure our contest is fair and equitable. Judges did not have access to the names of photographers related to images.  Judging is based on quality, composition, content, originality, creativity and mass appeal for each category. This year’s judges were Ms. Kayla Eller Gregory (Owner/Designer at Inner Banks Interiors in Camden) and Ms. Katie Myrick (Award Winning Photographer of Katie Myrick Photography).

We appreciate everyone submitting their incredible images of Camden County and look forward to utilizing these photos for display and promotional purposes. We will share many of the submitted images in each category over the coming days & weeks- keep following & liking our social media pages to see your photo!
